The Council of Elizabeth Fry Societies of Ontario (CEFSO) is the provincial voice for the eight Elizabeth Fry Societies in Ontario.
We have several locations across Northern and Southern Ontario– please feel free to use our interactive map to browse.
CEFSO plays an important role in promoting a public understanding of women and gender diverse individuals in the criminal justice system. We contribute our expertise through:
- membership on key government committees
- annual visits to provincial jails and remand centers to review conditions of confinement and systematic issues
- provide individual and systemic advocacy for women and gender diverse individuals who have been provincially sentenced, or are on remand
